Sluts, bitches and whores

Sluts, bitches and whores

Those words have been used throughout history to stigmatize women and Horny Cat thinks it’s time for women to reclaim those for themselves.

Slut was used to describe openly sexual women, whore was used to describe women who said “yes” a lot and bitch was used to describe vocal women who spoke their mind.

Horny Cat does not believe in any of that shit. Freedom is our supreme value here and that includes freedom of expression and freedom of sexuality.

As the creatrix behind horny cat, I often say that I dress like a slut because I do because I like to feel sexy and own my sexual power.  I also like to encourage women to do the same to reclaim their power and wear whatever the fuck they want be it revealing clothes or provocative jewelry. When I call myself a slut, it’s not an insult — it’s a declaration. I’m not hiding my sensuality or dimming my fire to make anyone comfortable. The same goes for bitch. If speaking my truth, setting boundaries, and commanding respect makes me one — then so be it.

Reclaiming what used to have women condemned and using it to our advantage is our pleasure in life here and it is Horny Cat’s goal to turn these words into symbols of desire and self expression. This is about power. It’s about language, identity, and pride. It’s about taking up space where we were once told to shrink. There is nothing more radical, more dangerous, and more beautiful than a woman who defines herself — on her own terms.

Reclaiming words like slut, bitch, or whore isn’t about seeking approval — it’s about taking back what was used to shame us and turning it into fuel. These words have been hurled at women for centuries as a way to control us, to punish our autonomy, our sexuality, our anger, our confidence. But what happens when we decide they don’t hurt us anymore?

We reshape them. We wear them like armor.

This is why Horny Cat exists. It’s not just jewelry. It’s a symbol. A wink. A statement. A quiet (or not so quiet) rebellion. This is our way of rewriting the rules — and wearing them proudly.

So what are the subversive words you like to reclaim for yourself?
